Community Cosultation Meeting

A big thank you to our neighbours and the stakeholders who came out to our in-person community meeting on May 9, 2023. We had 38 community members and stakeholders at our Community Consultation Meeting. During this meeting, we reviewed the community feedback to date on our project objectives, shared the emerging concept designs, and answered attendee questions.

Design Concept

Studio JCI’s design includes animated design along Weston Road that includes dedicated entrances for the residential, commercial, and community uses directly off Weston Road.

The design team provided updates on the design details, including the materials and colours. Below are the precedents that the team is inspired by.

What We Heard

Following our team’s presentation, we answered questions and received comments from the attendees. Participants were highly positive about the density and acceptance of the Mass Transit rationale.

The focus of most questions was around the “view” impact of the height and HVAC noise for Hickory Tower residents, the City’s guidelines on parking, infrastructure and water main resiliency and fire and health emergency.
